Glacial peaks and towering summits, ice-fields, rushing streams and lovely waterfalls are just a few of the scenic wonders awaiting you on this fantastic tour in the Canadian Rockies and at Glacier National Park.

Join us for a nine-day journey that delivers the pristine wilderness of five national parks and the soaring beauty of the Rockies on both sides of the Canada/U.S. border. From Calgary, travel south along the Macleod Trail to Waterton Lakes National Park, a rare gem with breathtaking views of the majestic Rocky Mountains rising out of the rolling prairies. Enter Montana through Glacier National Park, where you enjoy a thrilling drive on the spectacular “Going-to-the-Sun Road” aboard restored 1930s vintage red motorcoaches. The “Going-to-the-Sun Road” crosses the 6,664-foot-high Logan Pass and offers alpine scenery where jagged mountain peaks, deep green forests, pristine lakes, and meadows dominate the landscape. Take in the magnificent scenery as you cross the Continental Divide to the town of Whitefish. Then re-enter Canada and visit the historic mining town of Fort Steele. Then it’s on to Alberta for stays in both Banff and Jasper National Parks. In Banff, enjoy a ride on the Banff gondola up Sulphur Mountain and leisure time to explore on your own or to join an optional helicopter flight-seeing trip with views of the Canadian Rockies. As you head to Jasper National Park, stop for a memorable ride aboard an Ice Explorer at the 1,000-foot-thick Columbia Icefield. In Jasper National Park, take a cruise to Spirit Island. A highlight of the tour will be returning to Banff National Park, where you’ll stay for two nights at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Located in the heart of this pristine park, and within a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Chateau is a treasure sitting among unparalleled vistas of soaring mountains, roaring rivers and abundant wildlife. Plymouth Travel Tour directors host a special farewell dinner at the Chateau—a wonderful way to end you thrilling vacation to this magnificent region! This tour offers optional, one-way VIA Rail service from Montreal to Edmonton prior to the main tour. Pricing will include transportation to Montreal, train passage, transportation from Edmonton to Calgary to meet the group and return flight with the group.
