A lively mix of music, fireworks and family-oriented fun, “Tanglewood on Parade” features performances by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops Orchestra and Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra. Under the batons of James Levine, Keith Lockhart, John Williams, Sir Andrew Davis, and André Previn, a day full of varied music is crowned by a performance of Tchaikovsky’s rousing 1812 Overture as cannons fire and fireworks burst over the Stockbridge Bowl.
Your tour includes sightseeing in the quaint village of Stockbridge and a visit to the wonderful Norman Rockwell Museum and Studio. The Museum houses favorites from Rockwell’s Saturday Evening Post covers, the powerful Four Freedoms and the nostalgic Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas.
