Depart by motorcoach to Manchester Airport for your flight to San Antonio.

WELCOME to San Antonio, home of the Alamo and Fiesta San Antonio! Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, Homewood Suites (or similar). Your hotel is located directly on the famed River Walk and is surrounded by a variety of San Antonio attractions.

Afternoon
The afternoon is free to settle into your hotel and acquaint yourself with your surroundings. Unwind in the heated rooftop pool boasting views of downtown San Antonio, enjoy a workout in the exercise facility or relax in your spacious suite. Each suite features a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave oven and an iron and ironing board.

Evening
san antonio marketThis evening, enjoy a “Night in Old San Antonio” at La Villita. Home to artisans and unique shops from days gone by, tonight, La Villita is host to fifteen fantastic areas celebrating the variety of groups that originally settled Texas. Explore the Irish Flats, Sauerkraut Bend, Tin Pan Alley, Chinatown, South of the Border and more. Musical entertainment is non-stop and features country and western, rhythm and blues, jazz, oompah, mariachi singers and flamenco dancers. Enjoy dinner on your own with a tempting variety of extraordinary cuisine traditional to each historical group of settlers.

Saturday, April 23
Morning
san antonio riverEnjoy an included breakfast before boarding an open-air boat for a guided cruise along the San Antonio River. Surrounded by the famous cobblestone pathway known as the River Walk, the river courses through the town about 20 feet below street level. During your cruise, orient yourself to the area’s unique cuisine, shopping and entertainment.

The rest of the day is yours to explore the River Walk and experience the vibrant cultures and friendly people of San Antonio. In addition to all the food, fun and festival events, you're sure to run into such ornately attired Fiesta personalities as King Antonio, El Rey Feo, Miss Fiesta and King Anchovy.

Evening
marching bandTonight, enjoy an included group dinner before attending The Fiesta Flambeau Parade, the largest illuminated night parade in the nation and a highlight of Fiesta San Antonio. This event draws more than 500,000 spectators, each anticipating the splendor of lights for which this parade is known throughout the world.

 

Sunday, April 24
Morning
After an included breakfast, explore more of San Antonio at your leisure. Perhaps visit the historic Spanish Governors Palace, once called the most beautiful building in San Antonio or the King William Historic District filled with picturesque mansions and gardens reminiscent of wealthy German settlers; view magnificent art at one of the city’s many museums; shop at the Rivercenter Mall featuring 125 fine stores and restaurants; discover 120 years of Texas history at the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum where you will find extraordinary collectibles and authentic souvenirs or choose from a variety of other attractions.

Evening
Tonight, share your day’s adventures with friends as you enjoy an included group dinner. After dinner, visit the IMAX theatre for a showing of "Alamo - The Price of Freedom.” Watch the famous battle unfold and relive history's unforgettable thirteen days of glory as 189 defenders fought and died for the cause of Texas liberty.

Monday, April 25
Morning
the alamoAfter an included breakfast at your hotel, depart for your tour of San Antonio highlights. Your tour includes the Mission San Jose showcasing exquisite Spanish colonial art; the Mission Concepcion which is the oldest unrestored stone church in America; and the Alamo, established in 1718 as San Antonio’s first mission and famous for the lost battle against the Mexican general Santa Anna. Your tour also includes a visit to historic Market Square featuring 32 shops at El Mercado, an authentic Mexican market and another 80 specialty shops in Farmers Market Plaza. Shop for pottery and ceramics, turquoise jewelry, leather goods, and embroidered clothing and relax at one of the many restaurants or pastry shops.

Evening
Tonight, enjoy an included special farewell dinner. Following dinner, visit one of the city’s many nightspots, shop for souvenirs, or relax at your hotel and enjoy views of San Antonio – a city with roots that run deep, arms that welcome you and smiles that make you feel right at home.

Tuesday, April 26
After an included breakfast, depart for the airport for your flight. Return home with fond memories of your Texas adventure!
